Common questions
How does the free trial work?
Every new account starts with a 14-day trial with full functionality for the plan you pick. You choose when to subscribe — nothing is billed automatically at the end of the trial.
What counts as a "check"?
A check is one monitored target — one URL, host, port, DNS record, or heartbeat endpoint. Each plan includes a fixed number of checks, and each check can be any of the seven supported types.
How does multi-region confirmation work?
Before an incident opens, a failing check is re-checked from other regions. Your plan sets how many distinct regions need to agree a check is down; higher plans allow more regions and shorter confirmation windows, so incidents open faster without sacrificing accuracy.
Do you offer monthly billing?
Not currently — plans are billed annually only. If that changes we'll announce it on this page.
What happens if I go over a plan limit?
You can't create a check, alert channel, or status page past your plan's limit — you'll be prompted to upgrade instead. Nothing you've already configured is disabled or deleted.
Can I use my own domain for a status page?
Yes, on plans with the custom domain feature. Point a CNAME at your status page, verify it from the dashboard, and Status issues TLS for it automatically.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page whenever you like — your account and status pages keep running through the end of the paid period.
